Lucas is an Agency Partner Account Manager at Ortto, and a key part of the Partnerships team. A recent greyhound rescue pet-parent and an avid rugby enthusiast, Lucas is always up for a chat.
Based in Sydney, Australia, Lucas is your go-to when it comes to showcasing the full extent of the platform, and presenting Ortto in all its glory to new, current and potential Partners.
I'm part of the Partnerships team, working closely with our sales team to help position Ortto to new customers introduced by our Partners. I’m regularly pitching Ortto to potential Partners and agencies, outlining who we are, what we do, and the problems we solve.
The Partners we work with are leaders in marketing technology and have strong relationships with their customers, providing them with strategic direction. This is where we come in.
We leverage the Partners' relationship to present the full capabilities of Ortto, recommending it as a potential solution for the organization to achieve their goals. No two days are the same, as every Partner works with their clients differently. Positioning the Ortto platform with our Partners is a collaborative process and unique each time.
My journey in tech began at Seek.com — helping organizations find the best talent to add to their workforce. I worked in sales for 10 years, what I enjoyed most was building long-term strategic relationships.
I then started working in Partnerships four years ago, joining RMIT in Melbourne. We were partnering with a range of leaders in industry to provide use cases and insight to build courses focused on the future of work.
For example, the Customer Success Management Degree, we partnered with Salesforce to provide use cases and real world context to the academic theory the course entails.
This introduction to Partnerships... and essentially the move to continue down this route was the best decision I ever made! (second to joining Ortto)
In terms of what I think is important when working within Partnerships - always play the long game. It leads to greater success and more good times.
Still early days for me, but being able to present an overview of the Ortto product & Partner program to agencies in Australia, US, EMEA & Asia within the first few months has been a great experience.
To be entrusted to represent Ortto and already seeing new Partners sign up to our program, leading to new customer wins. It’s all very exciting!
