The top tech awards to get involved in – and how to apply

There are a whole host of technology awards programs that run throughout the year – both locally and internationally – that shine spotlights on the tech businesses and innovative thinkers doing amazing things.

SaaS Awards & Cloud Awards

The SaaS Awards is a well-respected awards program that recognizes software-as-a-service companies around the world. Any SaaS solution – public or private clouds, single-tenant solutions, off-premise or on-premise – can be considered. Previous winners of the SaaS Awards include Sage, Decision Lens, iAuditor, Logistyx Technologies, Webeo, BlueSnap, and many more.

The Cloud Awards is the sister program of the SaaS Awards, recognizing exceptional cloud-based offerings around the world. Previous winners include Apptio, ClickUp, Curo, DOMO, Freshworks, Granulate, British Gas, ShareFile, Dell, Hitachi, HP, and many more.

The SaaS Awards (aka Spring SaaS Awards) and the Cloud Awards (aka Winter Cloud Awards) run annually, throughout the spring and winter seasons respectively. Both awards programs encompass many different categories in which to recognize companies of different sizes, across a variety of industries and those that excel in particular areas.

Entry to the SaaS Awards closes on the penultimate Friday in May every year. To apply for the 2023 SaaS Awards, download the forms and choose your categories. The deadline for the Cloud Awards is the penultimate Friday in October. To apply for the 2022 Cloud Awards, download the forms and choose your categories.

Forbes Cloud 100

Forbes’s Cloud 100 list charts to world’s top private cloud companies, produced in partnership with Bessemer Venture Partner and Salesforce Ventures. 2022 marked its seventh year of recognizing and awarding the standout companies in areas such as growth, sales, valuation, culture, and reputation, determined by a panel of industry leaders and experts.

Earning a top-10 spot on 2022’s Cloud 100 list were Stripe, Databricks, Canva, Miro, Figma, Airtable, Service Titan, Talkdesk, Plaid, and Attentive (ranked 1-10 respectively).

To be in the running to be featured in 2023’s list, keep your eye on the Cloud 100 website as submissions usually open in May.

Inc. 5000 

Inc. magazine has been on a quest to reveal America’s fastest-growing privately held company since 1982. Back then, it was a list of 500 companies, but in 2007 the prestigious list expanded to 5000, and cemented itself as being the  hallmark of business success. 

Today, the Inc. 5000 ranks companies by overall revenue growth over a three-year period, and the top 500 are profiled in the September issue of Inc. Magazine.

Businesses that bagged the top spots on the Inc. 5000 2022 list include BlockFi, SnapNurse, CDL 1000, eTrueNorth, HighKey, and Livingood Daily. 

Although this list isn’t dedicated to technology companies – it considers companies across all industries across America – the Inc. 5000 is highly esteemed and to be featured on the list is one of the best accolades a business can achieve.

Semrush Search Awards 

The Semrush AU Search Awards exists to celebrate the success of online marketing professionals. Any company that has improved its online presence in Australia in the past 12 months can enter and get recognized for its achievements.

The Tech Trailblazers Awards is a program for enterprise technology startups around the world that recognizes technological and commerce innovation and entrepreneurial excellence.

Award categories include AI, blockchain, cloud, developer, fintech, big data, sustainable tech, telecoms, Infosecurity, internet of things, storage, and networking.

Global Business Tech Awards

The Global Business Tech Awards recognises, rewards, and celebrates tech developments within customer experience, management systems, marketing and sales, information storage, and data tracking. 

The awards are open to innovative and creative technology software tools around the world and are judged by leading international industry experts.

TiE50 Awards

TiE50 (The Indus Entrepreneurs Top 50) is Silicon Valley’s annual prestigious awards program for entrepreneurs and early-stage technology startups. Its aim is to advance entrepreneurship, mentoring, networking, and education for technology worldwide.

2022 is TiE50’s 13th year running, and each year the winners are selected by a panel of experts who judge the competing companies’ business model, IP, and team. Applications are open globally.

The Campaign Tech Awards
